U9 Coaching Announcement!
The Ancaster Avalanche Girls Hockey Association welcomes
Casey Uens to the Avalanche Coaching staff for U9 Representative in 2026-2027! We're excited for Casey to continue building our U9 program at AAGHA, after much fun and growth the past 2 years since the return of U9 to Ancaster.
Casey is a dedicated professional coach and the Head Goalie Coach at Triple E Hockey, bringing years of specialized expertise to the Ancaster Avalanche community. His deep-rooted involvement in local hockey—from high-level rep clinics to technical gear maintenance—has fueled a passion for developing the next generation of athletes. Casey is thrilled to lead the U9 Rep team for the upcoming 2026/27 season, where he aims to translate his technical knowledge into a fun, competitive, and growth-oriented environment for the girls.
From Casey: “My coaching philosophy is centered on building a strong technical foundation while fostering a genuine love for the game. At the U9 level, success is about more than just the scoreboard; it’s about creating a positive team culture where players support one another and gain the confidence to try new things. I believe that when we focus on skill development and high-energy effort, the results follow naturally. My goal is for every player to walk away from the rink with a sense of achievement and a stronger bond with their teammates.”
Casey’s experience coaching both goalies and players combined with his hands-on approach to player development ensure that the U9 Avalanche will receive high-quality instruction tailored to their age group. He looks forward to a season of building new friendships and working closely with players, staff, and families to make this a memorable year on and off the ice.
We wish Casey and the U9 Avalanche team a wonderful season in 2026-2027! Welcome Casey!
