The Ancaster Girls Hockey 4th Line Program is designed to provide additional development opportunities by allowing players from a lower division/lower age group to be called up to skate and train with higher-level players. This extra ice time, along with focused coaching, helps players enhance their skills beyond regular team practices.

Importance of the Program:

  • Skill Development: It helps players improve in areas like skating, puck handling, shooting, and overall hockey IQ by practicing with more advanced teammates.

  • Inclusivity: The program gives players from lower divisions a chance to experience a higher level of competition and practice.

  • Confidence Building: Training with higher-level players and receiving additional coaching helps boost players’ confidence and performance on the ice.

  • Team Depth: By calling up and developing players from lower divisions, the program strengthens the overall depth of teams across different levels.

This program is crucial for fostering growth, giving all players the chance to advance their skills, and supporting a strong, competitive hockey environment.
