Tryout Information:
*Players could be released after the first tryout
*Please arrive 1 hour before tryout to check-in, receive a tryout jersey etc.
*After each tryout, please refer to the AAGHA website & U13A page under "Tryout List" tab. Invites to the next tryout will be posted by midnight on the day of each tryout.
*Players whose TIN # is listed under the "Tryout List" Tab are invited to attend the next tryout
*Players whose TIN # is NOT listed under the "Tryout List" Tab are released from the U13A tryout and added to the U13BB tryout roster. For those players released, we hope you remain with AAGHA and we look forward to seeing you at the U13BB tryouts.
Bryan Gibson U13A Head Coach:
My name is Bryan Gibson and I am excited to return to the AAGHA for the 2025-2026 season as Head Coach of U13A. I am passionate about giving back to my local community and have thoroughly enjoyed coaching youth hockey over the course of many years locally. Growing up in Mount Hope playing Glanbrook Minor hockey and being part of the Ancaster High hockey team myself, paying it forward through coaching in my hometown community is incredibly rewarding. Living in Ancaster with my family and raising three children who are part of the Ancaster Avalanche & Glancaster Bombers organizations, you will most often find me at the rink. My goal as a coach is to guide and lead our players by balancing competitive spirit, skill development, strong work ethic, commitment/responsibility, independent growth, team-building and a great deal of fun on and off the ice. My past Head Coach experiences include: U9 AA Glancaster Bombers, U10/U11/U12 AAA Hamilton Huskies and most recently, U9 Ancaster Avalanche (2024-2025 season). I look forward to another exciting season with the Avs!
Projected Player Fees:
All players will be required to pay the AAGHA base registration fee. Additional to the registration fee, all players will be required to pay individual team fees which will be discussed during the parent/player meeting. Our goal is to keep team fees low while offering excellent training and skill development both off and on the ice. Sponsorships and fundraising play an integral role in helping with additional ice time and development for players and goalies, as well as additional team-building opportunities.
